Obituary for Alexander Bergners

Alexander Bergners, of Rutherford, New Jersey, entered eternal life, Friday, September 30th, 2016, he was 88. Alexander was born in Daugavpils, Latvia on June 23, 1928 to Janis and Ludmila (Polocanin) Bergners. He came to the United States in the 1950's and for over forty years has lived in Rutherford. Alexander had retired from the NYC Transit system, where he had worked as an Electrical Engineer. He is survived by his beloved wife Maria, his loving son Andrei, and his three cherished grandchildren. The evening Panikhida will begin at 6:00 pm, on Sunday, October 2nd at Our Lady of Kazan Russian Orthodox Church, 78 Heller Parkway, Newark, NJ. The funeral will begin at 9:00 am, Monday, October 3rd, 2016, at the Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, New Jersey.
