Obituary for Alfred I "Fred" Morgan

Alfred I. Morgan, "Fred" of Moonachie, closed his eyes and joined his beloved wife Glenda, in heaven on June 19th, 2020, he was 83. Fred was born on February 17th, 1937 in Berks County, PA to John and Clarinda (LePage) Morgan. He was raised in Passaic and had also lived in Garfield and Lodi for many years, prior to moving to Moonachie in 2000. Fred was a devoted husband, father and provider, often working extra shifts to ensure his family was well cared for. He had worked for Gibraltar Plastics, in Lodi. He was an invaluable employee of the company, and had worked in every capacity imaginable, from a machinist to machine operator; no one knew the complete operation as well as Fred. He retired in 1995, but could not sit still, so he began a second career as a maintenance provider for a Laundromat in Woodridge. When Fred wasn't working, he could be found watching the old western's. He enjoyed watching John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and all the other famous spaghetti western actors. He was also an avid fisherman. His family recounted his enjoyment making his own sinkers for fishing. Fred was predeceased by his beloved wife Glenda and his cherished daughter Kim. He is survived by his beloved children Ellen and her husband Mark DiClemente, Fred Morgan, Donna and her husband Ed Abraham and Todd Morgan. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Danyell, Aaron, Shaina, Juliana, Jyoti and five great grandchildren, Izayah, Anthony, Briella, Evangaleen and Dylon. Visiting 3-6 pm Monday, June 22nd, and 9 am, Tuesday, June 23rd, followed by a 9:30 funeral service. Alfred will be laid to rest with his wife and mother at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, NJ.
