Obituary for Bruce B. Surak

Bruce Surak of Moonachie, entered eternal life on Friday, July 31st, 2020, he was 65. Bruce was born in Jersey City on July 10th, 1955, to Bernard and Virginia (Ferrara) Surak. He was raised in Little Ferry and was a graduate of Ridgefield Park High School, Class of 1973. Bruce married his beloved wife Karen (Kustishock), on September 8th, 1978 at St. Margaret's of Cortona in Little Ferry. For many years Bruce operated JB's Limousine Company. He later worked for Bergen County, in the Bergen County Security Unit, retiring on April 30, 2016. After his retirement he entered a partnership with his son, Surak Investments Inc. Bruce has always been active in his community, starting with the Little Ferry First Aide Squad, where he had served as a Captain. For the past sixteen and a half years, Bruce has been a dedicated Councilman for the Borough of Moonachie. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Karen Surak and his beloved son Jonathan B. Surak, his two dear sisters Janet Ward and Gloria Harris and his sister-in-law Pamela Kolar, as well as many nieces and nephews. A private visitation will be held by the immediate family. A public funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 5th, at St. Margaret's of Cortona Roman Catholic Church, 31 Chamberlain Avenue, Little Ferry, New Jersey 07643.
