Casmir Jandura of Garfield, NJ, returned home to the Lord on September 28th, 2020, under the care of his loving daughter, Karen, and with the support of family and friends. Casmir was 90 years old, born in Wallington, NJ on August 1st, 1930 to Jacob and Antonina (Klapacz) Jandura. Casmir was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lorraine Jandura, on March 15th, 2020, and his beloved son, Thomas J. Jandura of Rockaway, NJ, on March 26th, 2011 as well as his sister, Gladys Sleece, his brother, Stanley Jandora, and another brother who died as a child. Casmir is survived by his devoted and beloved daughter Karen T. Rezanka and her husband Thomas W. Rezanka of Palm Harbor, FL, his sister-in-law Janet (Zarucha) McGowan of Randolph, NJ, along with nephews, nieces, cousins, an aunt, and lifetime friends and their families whose lives have been touched by him in very special ways.

Cass was the loving and devoted husband of his beloved wife, Lorraine (Zarucha) Jandura, whom he married in 1953, after proudly serving in a combat unit of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Lorraine and Cass lived a joy-filled life together, which they shared continuously with their children, extended family, and lifelong friends. Cass loved his family and had many talents, not the least of which included building grandfather clocks, fixing and building just about anything, working around and caring for his home and cars, baking wonderful Polish treats, and cooking in his later years. The most important thing, however, was spending time with his beloved wife, Lorraine, enjoying their homes in NJ and FL, having parties, get-togethers, and wonderful meals with their children, family, and friends throughout the years, traveling the country together, sharing meals and happy times with his son, Thomas and his family over the years, cruising, sharing delicious meals and exploring many FL destinations with Karen and her husband, Tom, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life together with Lorraine. Cass and Lorraine were devoted parishioners of the Church of the Most Holy Name in Garfield, NJ.

In life, Cass and Lorraine did everything together. We want to be able to celebrate the joy-filled lives of Casmir and Lorraine Jandura together, without the current COVID-19 concerns. Therefore, a joint celebration of the Mass of the Resurrection for Casmir and Lorraine Jandura will be held at a future date when family and friends can gather freely and share their experiences with each other in person. The date of joint celebration will be posted on the warnerandwozniak.com/memorials/lorraine-jandura and the warnerandwozniak.com/memorials/casmir-jandura websites once determined.

Prior to Casmir being laid to rest at St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack, NJ, a funeral service for Casmir will be webcast and/or recorded. Details of these events and login information will be posted on the warnerandwozniak.com/memorials/casmir-jandura website when details have been finalized.
