Eleanor H. Baran of Wallington, New Jersey, entered eternal life on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at the age of 94. Eleanor was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on December 7th, 1926, to Stanley and Casimira (Romatowski) Janowicz. Eleanor was married to her beloved husband, Stanley Baran on May 8th, 1948 at St. John Kanty's Church in Clifton, NJ. They were married nearly 64 years when Stanley predeceased her on May 4th, 2012. Eleanor had worked as a telephone operator at the Sears & Roebuck offices in Passaic for many years. She later worked at the National Council of Compensation Insurance in Lyndhurst, NJ. Eleanor was a devoted parishioner of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington, a member of the Rosary Confraternity, and a Columbiette at the Knights of Columbus Council 3644 in Wallington. She had also served on the PTA for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus School. Later in life Eleanor together with Stanley enjoyed spending time with friends at the Wallington Seniors Center, and the Wallington AARP Chapter 4115. Eleanor is survived by her three devoted and beloved children Barbara Fox and her husband Daniel of Ramsey, NJ, son John Baran and wife Tola of Westfield, NJ, and son Mark Baran and wife Gertraud of Greenwich, CT. She is also survived by her four devoted grandchildren: Heather Fox, Justin Fox and wife Gassia, Sean Baran and wife Jesmey, and Luke Baran and his wife Kristin. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Ava Fox, Julian Fox and Maya Baran. She is survived by her sisters Regina Ruszkiewicz and Rose Sautner. Due to the ongoing Covid situation visitation will be private. A public funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM, Wednesday, February 17th, at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington, NJ. Eleanor will be laid to rest with her husband Stanley at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road, South Hackensack. Contributions to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, are appreciated.
