Obituary for John Maliszewski

John Maliszewski of Carlstadt, New Jersey, entered eternal life on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, he was 85. John was born in Poland, on August 25th, 1936, to Adam and Helena (Gutowska) Maliszewski. John was married to his beloved wife Genevieve (Kropiewnicka) Maliszewski, on September 2nd, 1956 in Poland and they were married for over 65 years. The family came to the United States in 1963, first living in Fairview, Passaic, Wallington and finally settling in Carlstadt. John worked as a foreman at Pioneer Paper Corp. in Carlstadt, for 37 years, retiring in 1999. John was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Passaic. He found great satisfaction in tending to his vegetable garden, eating Chinese food, dancing the Polka, spending time with his family, and always watching wrestling and old time western movies. John was known for wearing one of his many Hawaiian shirts. He also enjoyed receiving hugs from his furry friend, Mango. He is survived by his loving children, Chris and her husband Bob DeGregorio, Nancy Maliszewski, Jimmy and his wife Rose-Marie Maliszewski. He is also survived by his 4 cherished grandchildren and 4 dear great grandchildren. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Genevieve.
Visiting 5pm - 8pm Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ 07057. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9am Thursday, April 28 at St. Joseph's Church 7 Parker Ave. Passaic, New Jersey 07055. John will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901
