Jozef Szpernoga of Garfield entered eternal life, Saturday, August 1st, he was 58. Jozef was born in Nowy Targ, Poland on December 15th, 1961, to Josef Szpernoga and Teresa Szpernoga (Bednarz). Jozef was married to Zofia Howaniec, on February 21st, 1987 in Kacwin, Poland. In 2007 Jozef and his family emigrated to the United States. Josef was employed by STMR Inc., a construction company in Wallington for over ten years. He recently was asked why he continued to work so hard, his answer, “I want to provide for my family.” In his free time, he helped his growing family with home projects both big and small. He is survived by his beloved wife, Zofia, his devoted son Andrzej, his cherished daughter Urszula and her husband Lukasz Koszela, and his cherished daughter Anna. Jozef is also survived by his mother Teresa, and his siblings and their spouses, Antoni and Helena Szpernoga, Maria and Jozef Zoltek, Monica and Andrzej Molitorys, Jas Szpernoga, Marta and Ryszard Budz, Andrzej and Anna Szpernoga. He was predeceased by his father Jozef. Visiting 3:30 - 9:00 pm Friday, August 7th, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Saturday, August 8th, Holy Rosary Church, 6 Wall Street Passaic. Jozef will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
