Obituary for Lorraine Jandura

Lorraine Jandura, (nee Zarucha), of Garfield, NJ went home to the Lord on March 15th, 2020 knowing that her loving family was with her every step of the way. She was 87 years old, born on June 22nd, 1932 in Union City, NJ to Frank and Theresa Zarucha. Lorraine is the beloved wife of Casmir Jandura of Garfield, NJ and the beloved mother of Karen T. Rezanka of Palm Harbor, FL and her husband, Thomas W. Rezanka. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Thomas J. Jandura, of Rockaway, NJ on March 26, 2011. Lorraine is also survived by her younger sister, Janet McGowan (nee Zarucha), of Randolph, NJ, as well as an aunt, cousins and lifelong friends whose lives she touched in a very special way.

Lorraine was the loving wife of Casmir Jandura, and they were happily married for 67 years. Lorraine was devoted to her husband, Cass, loved her children and family, and shared both the ordinary and special moments in their lives together with both family and lifelong friends. Lorraine loved life, radiated her joyful outlook to others, and with her beloved husband, Cass, created many special memories for their children, family and friends with numerous parties, get-togethers and wonderful meals shared together throughout the years. Lorraine was a wonderful cook and homemaker and spent over twenty years working in the banking industry. The most important thing to Lorraine was sharing her life with her husband, Cass, loving and caring for her children, enjoying and taking care of their homes in NJ and FL, and traveling out west and to other parts of the country with Cass, enjoying time and wonderful meals with her son, Thomas and his family, cruising, sharing delicious meals, and exploring many FL destinations with Karen and her husband, Tom, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life together. Cass and Lorraine were devoted parishioners of the Church of the Most Holy Name in Garfield, NJ.

During their lives, Lorraine and Cass did everything together. On September 28, 2020, Casmir Jandura returned to the Lord and was once again together with his beloved wife, Lorraine. We want to be able to celebrate the joy-filled lives of Casmir and Lorraine Jandura together, without the current COVID-19 concerns. Therefore, a joint celebration of the Mass of the Resurrection for Casmir and Lorraine Jandura will be held at a future date when family and friends can gather freely and share their experiences with each other in person. The date of joint celebration will be posted on the warnerandwozniak.com/memorials/lorraine-jandura and the warnerandwozniak.com/memorials/casmir-jandura websites once determined.
