Obituary for Lydia Frank

Lydia S. Frank a lifelong resident of Garfield, entered eternal life on May 5th, she was 95. Lydia was born on February 9th, 1925 in Garfield, NJ. to Aloysius and Rose (Wasylewicz) Skora. Lydia married her beloved husband William Frank on September 10th, 1949 at St. Joseph's in Passaic. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage, when William died on April 10th, 2010. Lydia had worked in the laboratory at US Rubber during WWII. SHe had also worked for various chemical companies as a secretary. In her free time, Lydia could be found oil painting, reading, knitting, sewing, cooking baking, woodworking, gardening and completing crossword puzzles. Lydia was a devoted and active parishioner of Most Holy Name in Garfield. She had also been active at St. Thomas the Apsotle in Sandyston, NJ in Sussex Co,. where she and her husband Bill would often spend their weekends and free time. Lydia is survived by her beloved son Thomas W. Frank of Radnor, PA and her devoted niece Christine Zembicki. Lydia was predeceased by her dear sister Tess Zembicki. Due to the pandemic, Lydia had a private burial with her immediate family and priest. A public memorial Mass will be celebrated at Most Holy Name, 99 Marsellus Place in Garfield, as soon as it is possible for friends and family to gather safely.
