Obituary for Maria Lojek (Tomaszkowicz)

Maria Lojek of Garfield since 1963, entered eternal life on July 9th, she was 89. Maria was born in Krempachy, Poland on Aug 28, 1928 to Franciszek and Anna (Paluch) Tomaszkowicz. She was married to her beloved husband Wladyslaw Lojek on Sept 2, 1947 in Poland. They were married for nearly 67 years when Wladyslaw entered eternal life on Feb 5th, 2014. Maria came to the United States on July 2nd, 1963 and settled her family in Garfield. She had worked at Apex Athletic in Garfield as a seamstress for nearly 20 years prior to her retirement. When Maria wasn't spending time with her family which was her true joy in life, she could be found sewing, knitting and gardening her vegetables and flowers. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Garfield and was also a member of the Rosary. Maria is survived by her four devoted children and their spouses, Maria and Stanislaw Wiecek, Irene and Robert Filosa, Joseph and Connie Lojek and Anna and Robert Aikens. She is also survived by six cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visiting 4-8 Thurs, July 12, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Fri, July 13th, St. Stanislaus Kostka, 184 Ray St. Garfield.
