Maria Pawelic most recently of Park Ridge and prior Garfield, entered eternal life on Friday, August 31st, 2018, she was 72. Maria has been heroically battling Pancreatic Cancer for the past three years. Maria was born in Trzebos, Poland on May 23rd, 1946, to Kazimierz and Anna (Ploszaj) Napora. She emigrated to the United States in 1990, first living in Brooklyn, NY. In 1996 she moved to Garfield, NJ and more recently to Park Ridge. She has worked as a Home Health Aide for the elderly and the terminally ill for many years. In her free time Maria enjoyed her crossword puzzles, baking and flower gardening. She is survived by her beloved son Marek Pawelic, her devoted daughter Renata Pawelic and her cherished grandson Oliver Pawelic. She is also survived by her dear sister Genowefa and brothers Jan and Stanislaw. She was predeceased by her sister Celina.
