Obituary for Mateusz Krawiec

Mateusz “Matt” Krawiec of Garfield, New Jersey, entered eternal life on Friday, July 1st, 2022, he was 29. Mateusz was born in Stalowa Wola, Poland on July 20th, 1992, to Henryk and Maria (Tabor) Krawiec. In 2002, when Matt was ten years old, his family emigrated to the United States, and settled in Garfield. Matt ran a successful tiling business alongside his stepdad, Stefan, for many years. He worked very hard, but always found the time to spend with his beloved girlfriend Melissa, whom he met ten years ago. The couple has been inseparable ever since. Matt enjoyed fishing with his mom and stepdad, walks with his Godmother Ania and Matt’s dog Julio, a Bichon Yorkie mix. He was always ready for an adventure with his sister Mariola, and loved spending time outdoors, going to the beach and meeting new people. Matt was a genuine soul, funny, kind, and caring, with a heart of pure gold. He also had a special place in his heart for animals. Matt loved helping people, whether they were a friend or stranger. Matt would gladly give the shirt off his back to comfort someone else or just to see them smile. He would do anything he could to help someone, always wanting them to feel loved and cared for. This is what Matt’s family and friends will miss and remember about him most. Matt is survived by his beloved mother Maria and his father Henryk, his stepfather Stefan Czekaj, his devoted girlfriend Melissa, his cherished sister Mariola Krawiec, his grandmother Kazimiera Tabor, his aunts Anna Tabor and Teresa Wis, and his uncle Wieslaw Tabor. He is also survived by his cousin Agnieszka Wis, and his beloved friends Diana and Dave Petracca.
