My deepest condolences to the Burch family for your loss. My most notable memory of my Uncle Peter will always be how giving he was to family, including me, a 9-yr old squirt. I recall him coming to Detroit in 1950 to help my Dad with a major house moving project Dad was working on. I’m sure this had to interfere with time away from his bride-to-be: Josephine. Uncle Peter, who along with his three brothers, epitomize what we know about the Last Generation of folks who unselfishly served our country during WWII, but expected so little in return. That was my Uncle Pete! I will miss the telephone talks I had with him.
