I knew Stan for only one year. We played baseball a Miami Dade Jr Collage. I believe it was the 66-67 season. We lost to Bacone Jr. Collage in the Jr College World Series in Grand Junction Co.
We drove home in my 64 Pontiac. At the time I lived in Ozone Park NY. That was the last time I saw him but spoke to him one last time to inform him that I wasn't returning to Miami.
He's was a gentleman when young men of that age aren't so gentle.
Those are my thoughts of Stan. Rest in peace

To everyone in the Merecki Family- words can’t begin to express how sorry we are to hear of Stan’s passing. In the time we spent on Massey Street, Cathy, Stan, Eric & Dawn became like family to us. We have so many memories of great times spent tougher. Stash was a kind, beautiful soul and will always have a special place in our hearts.
