Obituary for Theodore Michael "Ted" Stankiewicz

Theodore (Ted) Michael Stankiewicz, of Wallington, NJ, entered eternal life, Sept 21st, he was 82. Ted was born in Passaic, NJ on Nov 1st, 1938, to Theodore and Nellie (Warchol) Stankiewicz. Ted married the love of his life Gail Stankiewicz (Smith) on July 31st, 1965, who was the Borough Nurse. Ted graduated from Wallington High School Class of 1956. In 1963, after working at Pribit Auto Body in Clifton, Ted joined the Wallington Police Dept. He rose through the ranks attaining the rank of Chief in 1983. Ted retired in 1997 and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with his wife Gail, working on classic cars and home projects with his son Guy, and spending time with his granddaughters, always reminding them, “If you don’t shoot, you can’t score!” Ted was also a longtime parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington. Ted is survived by his devoted son, Guy and his wife Diane. He is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren Samantha, Gina, and Brianna;his cherished sister Elaine Pietrzak and his dear brother and sister in law Joseph and Linda Smith, and many loving nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his dear wife Gail. Visiting, 4 -7 pm, Fri, Sept 24th, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Sat, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington.
