Hackensack NJ- Elnora Asuncion Gantioqui, 85, of Hackensack, NJ passed on January 14, 2026. Elnora was born on October 30, 1940 in Santo Tomas, Philippines. She was 1 of 10 siblings, predeceased by her two sisters, Leticia Damias of Hackensack, NJ and Zenaida Asuncion of Santo Tomas, Philippines. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jennifer Vaccaro and son-in-law Scott Vaccaro of Kinnelon; One granddaughter, Valentina Vaccaro. She is also survived by her many nephews, nieces, and cousins who loved her dearly. She got her Bachelors of Science in Foods and Nutrition in Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines. In 1962, she had the honor of being selected as an exchange student to pursue her studies in Canada, where she worked as a dietician. She then traveled around the world where she created lasted memories and left footprints in many places. She then immigrated to the US in 1971 and shortly started working as a Registered Dietician in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital just within a couple of months in New York, NY. She then received her Masters Degree of Science from Columbia University in 1980 and finally retired in 2009.
Elnora was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest pride was her daughter and beloved granddaughter. Family was at the center of her life, and she cherished time spent with them as well as with her many loved ones, all of whom she held close to her heart.
A faithful member of Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack, Elnora lived a life of selflessness, love, and compassion, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was our guiding light and will forever remain our guardian angel.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a family gathering on Sunday, January 18, 2026 between the hours of 4 pm and 8 pm at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Home, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington, New Jersey. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 10 am at Holy Trinity RC Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, NJ. She will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus immediately thereafter.
