Genowefa "Genevieve" Lesiczka

Genowefa "Genevieve" Lesiczka of Wallington, entered eternal life on July 18th, she was 88. Genevieve was born in Cholewiana Gora, Poland on October 2nd, 1937 to Andrzej and Julia (Pirog) Chrzastek. She was married to her beloved husband Eugeniusz in 1967, and they were the love of each other's life for over 58 years at the time of his passing, on July 19th, 2025. The newlyweds made their way and emigrated to the United States a short time later, first living in Passaic, NJ and then settling in Wallington, NJ, in May of 1975. Upon arriving in the United States Genevieve worked as a seamstress. In her free time she could often be found, tending to her vegetable garden, her flowers and fruit trees. She also enjoyed cooking a variety of different cultural foods she thought she and her family would enjoy. It was very important for her to make guests to her home comfortable and catered too. She stayed active by taking walks and taking in all that nature had to offer her. She was an avid reader, and spent time working on crossword puzzles. Genevieve also loved going shopping with her daughters at the outlets and malls. Genevieve believed that it was her duty to instill the importance of her catholic faith and polish traditions, and pass those down to her grandchildren. Together with her husband, they raised their five beautiful and devoted children who survive, Joanne Kostialik, Kazimierz Lesiczka (Kelley), Jan Lesiczka (Jackie), Diane Trocino (Joel) and Julia Michaud (Daniel). Genevieve believed her family was most important to her, especially spending time with her cherished grandchildren, Jared, Julianna, Hanna, Joel Jr., and Gabrielle. She is also survived by her sister Rozalia, and was predeceased by sisters Maria, Emilia, Zofia, Anna and Janina. Genevieve enjoyed her trips to Poland with Eugeniusz, and spending time at thier summer home in upstate New York. Visiting 5-8pm, Wednesday, July 22nd, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington, NJ 07057. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am, Thursday, July 23rd, Holy Rosary Church, 6 Wall Street, Passaic, NJ. Genevieve will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Eugeniusz at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, NJ.
