Helen Dubis

September 10, 1926 — July 31, 2017

Helen S. Dubis, a lifelong resident of Wallington, entered eternal life July 31st, she was 90. Helen was born in Garfield, NJ on Sept 10th, 1926 to Karl and Ewa Pawlowski. After attending High School in Lodi, Helen continued her education and became a Registered Nurse Dietician, and worked at Bergen Pines in that capacity. Prior to that, Helen had worked as a store manager at Margolis in Clifton, and at the family’s candy store on Wallington Avenue, until the family gave it up in 1965. Helen was a devoted parishioner of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington, where she had married her beloved husband Walter Joseph Dubis on Sept 17th, 1949; he predeceased her in May 1995. Helen had also been an active member of the Most Sacred Heart Rosary Confraternity, Past President; and Past President of MSH Columbiettes KofC 3644. Helen’s devotion to her church did not end there, Helen would often sew Altar Cloths, Vestments and Flags for the Columbiettes an Holy Name Society. Helen was also a member of the State Republican Club, and a Past PTA president. She is survived by her devoted son Walter E. and his wife Maria; two grandchildren and their spouses Walter M. III and Krystyna, Jolene and Lance Clark, and her cherished great granddaughter Shelby. Helen was predeceased by her sister Emily and two brothers Gregory and Stanley. Visiting Thurs, Aug 3rd, 4 – 8 pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am, Fri, Aug 4th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington. Helen will be laid to rest at St. Michael’s Cemetery, S.
