Helen Koziol "Danisiewicz", passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2025. Helen was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1933, to Joseph and Julia Danisiewicz. She moved to Paramus in 1944 and then Wallington in 1948. She attended Ridgewood High School and graduated from Lodi High School in 1950.
Helen worked in Keyzerhart stationary in Passaic until she married on February 1, 1958 to Emil Koziol. They owned Lancers Jewelry and Appliance in East Rutherford and later Stan’s Hut until 1978. She was also employed at ADP in Clifton from 1978 to 1991 and the Borough of Woodridge prior to her retirement in 2002.
She was a lifelong member of The Most Sacred Heart Rosary Confraternity where she served as Treasurer for many years. Helen was deeply devoted to the Virgin Mary, she loved to sew, and garden in addition she had great interest and knowledge on nutritional healing most of all she loved helping anyone in any way.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda Glazer, her grandsons, Dean Srverino Jr and Bill Glazer, her sister, Mary April and brother Joseph, she is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Know that each and every one of you held a special place in her heart.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emil, and her cherished parents, Joseph and Julia Danisiewicz, her step-father, Joseph Faron, brother Henry, sisters, Angie Kobylarz and Jenny Koziol and many other family and friends including her son-in-law Leigh Gazer, two Nephews and most recently a great nephew.
The community is invited to honor her memory during visitation on July 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, located at 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ 07057. A Mass in her honor will be celebrated on July 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, situated at 127 Paterson Avenue, Wallington, NJ 07057. Following the Mass, interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery Inc, 120 Saddle River Rd, South Hackensack, NJ 07606, at 11:30 AM.
Helen Koziol will be remembered for her enduring love for her family and community, as well as her compassionate spirit. She will be greatly missed and always loved. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
