Helena Grabias

Helena Grabias, a long-time resident of Wallington, New Jersey, entered eternal
life on Saturday, August 27th, 2022, she was 78. Helena was born in Dodenhausen,
Germany on December 21st, 1943, to Jozef and Apolonia (Rzeznik) Wegrzecki.
Helena was married to her husband of 60 years, Jan Grabias, on April 25th, 1962.
She was a devoted and selfless family matriarch, always ensuring a clean and safe
home. She was a huge fan of crocheting, along with sewing Polish lace, often
being the go-to person as the family’s seamstress. She was an amazing cook who
loved to make placki ziemniaczane (potato pancake), ensuring everyone was
always well fed. Helena was a longtime parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of
Jesus Church in Wallington. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Jan, her loving
children and their spouses, Bogdan and Halina Grabias, Elzbieta and Wiktor
Socha, Mariusz and Anna Grabias, & Jaroslaw and Agnieszka Grabias, her
cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Diana and Frank Buenafuente, Jakub
and Renata Socha, Jessica, Sebastian, Angelika, Sabina, Milena, Filip, and Allan
and her devoted great-grandchildren, Dylan, Julianna, Szymon, & Frankie. Helena
was predeceased by her parents Jozef and Apolonia Wegrzecki. Visiting 6 – 8 pm,
on Thursday, September 1st, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave.,
Wallington, NJ 07057. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Friday,
September 2nd, The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 127 Paterson Avenue
Wallington, New Jersey 07057. Helena will be laid to rest in Gózd Lipiński,
Poland.
