Joan Frances Lorenc entered eternal life on May 11th, she was 89. Joan was born on February 25th, 1937, to Francis and Mary (Steffich) Radoslovich, in Union City, NJ. During her high school years, Joan was voted, “The Most Athletic,” having a strong throwing arm in softball. She was a graduate of Emerson High School, Class of 1955. In 1961 Joan married her beloved husband, Joseph Lorenc. After their marriage, they lived in Clifton, moving to Wallington in 1962. They made Wallington their home until 1999 when they retired to Toms River. In 2022, Joan was predeceased by Joseph, her beloved husband of sixty years. She was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Giants and the NY Mets. Joan was a lover of music, she played the organ, and enjoyed dancing, which she was good at. Joan and Joseph loved ballroom dancing and a good Polka. In addition to being a devoted home maker, she had also worked at Montvale Medical Economics as a graphic designer. Joan was one of the founding members of the Volunteer Gym Moms for The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus School and helped to organize many fund raiser dinners and dance events. Joan is survived by her three beloved children, Joanne and Keith McIssac, Joseph Jr and Nicole Lorenc, Janice and the late John Calabrese; her loving grandchildren, Lyndsay and her husband Kevin Myers, William, Victoria, Samantha, Nicholas, Jamie, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear sister Mary and Andrew Altamura. Sadly, Joan is the last of her generation on both sides of her family. Visiting, Saturday, May 16th, 8 - 10 am, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am, Saturday, The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 127 Paterson Avenue, Wallington, NJ.
