Justin Mieczyslaw Jusis of Garfield, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, he was 77. He battled alzheimer's for nine years and severely deteriorating health for the past three years. Justin was born in Poland on, February 20th, 1948 in Janikowo, Poland, to Wincenty and Franciszka (Kondrat) Jusis. He graduated from the Technikum Lesne w Rzepinie, where he studied forestry and worked for Gdanski Urzad Morski Gdynia, Ochrona Wybreza Morskiego Sobieszewo. He emigrated to the United States in 1976 with his wife Irena and son Slawomir, leaving behind the oppression of communist Poland to give them a better life. The family settled in Garfield, in 1981. He found work at a box printing plant, Packaging Corporation of America in Garfield, NJ, where he started at the lowest levels as a manual laborer, working his way up to becoming a pressman before the plant closed in 1982. During this time he had a second son David Thomas Jusis, born January 26th, 1978; who died this past February 6th, 2025. He continued his profession in the printing industry at Universal Folding Box Company in Hoboken and then Cartondruck USA in Fairview, NJ until his retirement. He also participated in being an assistant coach for football, as well as track and field, at St. Mary's High School in Rutherford. Justin did this during the years his sons attended St. Mary's and brought passion and interest in everything they pursued. Justin was a devoted parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Passaic. He will be remembered as a hard working, devoted family man. He provided a loving and supportive home for his family. He loved working on renovating his house, remodeling almost the entire house during the forty five years he lived there. He was a firm believer in the old school principal of learning how and doing most things yourself which he passed on to his sons. Prior to his battle with alzheimer's he was a vibrant soul who always started conversations and believed you could make friends everywhere you go. Justin is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Irena Jusis. and his loving son Slawomir and his grandson Gabriel. Visiting, Wednesday, October 29th 5-8pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am, Thursday, October 30th, Holy Rosary Church, 6 Wall Street, Passaic, NJ. Justin will be laid to rest with his son David at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, NJ.
