Robert Hirkaler

Robert Hirkaler of Wallington, NJ entered eternal life Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, he was 89. Robert was born on December 9th, 1936, to John and Anna (Pavlick) Hirkaler. He was married to his beloved wife of forty-eight years Barbara (Zaleski) Hirkaler, she predeceased him in 2009. Robert and Barbara were well known for their ballroom style dancing at family funtions. In addition to being a jokester, he was had a great joy for fixing things and woodworking. Robert worked for the Duradex Company in Clifton for over forty-two years, retiring as the plant supervisor in 2002. Robert is survived by his four devoted children Robert Hirkaler, Diane Hirkaler-Petty and her husband Richard, Linda Buonocore and her husband Patrick, Kim Guadagno and her husband Nick. He was predeceased by his son; Donald Hirkaler. Robert is survived by his beloved grandchildren; Mia, Jason, Travis, Austin and his cherished great-grandchildren; Elijah and Elise. Surviving are his niece Joanne, and nephews Gerry and John. He was also predeceased by his sister Dorothy and his brother John.
