Zuzanna Laszcz

Zuzanna Laszcz peacefully passed away and entered eternal life on May 5th, at the age of 85. Zuzanna was born in Lubcza, Poland on November 22, 1939 to Frank and Pelagia Wadas.

Zuzanna immigrated to the United States in 1960 to pursuit of a better life, bringing values and traditions that would shape future generations. Zuzanna married Kazimierz Laszcz in 1966, and together built a loving home in Garfield, NJ, where they raised their children. A devoted wife, doting mother, and loving grandmother, Zuzanna’s greatest joy came from caring for her family. She was married to her loving husband Kazimierz who passed away in 2017 for 50 years.

She was a woman of unwavering faith, inner strength, and humility, who selflessly loved and comforted those close to her. She worked in sewing factories, in Passaic NJ and Clifton Clothing. Later she worked at Nabisco, in Fair Lawn, from 1990 until she retired in 2008.

Known to many as “Babcia,” Zuzanna was the heart of her family. Her home was a sanctuary filled with the aromas of homemade pierogi, zupa grzybowa, and freshly brewed tea. Her loving spirit permeated in all facets of her life from tending lovingly to her garden each spring to praying the rosary and reading the Bible with her cherished family dog, Bella.

Zuzanna is survived by her children and their spouses, Ursula (Ronald) Pirog and Thomas (Agata) Laszcz; her beloved grandchildren Veronica, Julia, Victoria and Olivia.

Visiting will be held at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ on May 9th from 6-9 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Stanislaus Kostka, 184 Ray St, Garfield NJ on May 10th at 10 AM. Zuzanna will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
