Obituary for Jan Warchol

Jan Warchol of Garfield, entered eternal life on Monday, June 25th, 2018, he was 75. Jan was born in Maziarnia, Poland on November 11th, 1942, to Karol and Aniela (Maciag) Warchol. He was raised in Poland, and came to the United States in the mid 1960's, settling in Garfield in 1979. Jan was married to Zofia Prcystcz in 1981. Jan worked as a Mason for John Construction in Saddle Brook, retiring in 2001, due to health reasons. He was an avid fisherman, and also enjoyed strolling through the woods picking edible mushrooms. Jan is survived by his beloved wife Zofia, his beloved daughter Diana and husband Chris Chryc and his grandchildren, Julia and Amy. He is also survived by his dear stepdaughter Ewa and Jan Gelec and his grandchildren Susan, Michael, Joe and Magda. Jan is also survived by on great-granddaughter and his three devoted sisters, Maria Janiec, Zofia Stelmach, Janina Dec. Visiting 6-8 pm, Wednesday, June 27th, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am, Thursday, June 28th, St. Stanislaus Kostka Church 184 Ray Street Garfield, New Jersey 07026. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, Contributions to are appreciated.
