Karen Kaminsky of Tuxedo, New York, died on October 5th, 2011, she was 64. Karen was born in Suffolk County, New York, on April 4, 1947 to John and Muriel (Booth) Kraft. In 1965 Karen joined the United States Marine Corp, and served with distinction from 1965 to 1968. Karen married Howard L. Kaminsky on June 25, 1975. She is the beloved mother of Laura DaSavia of Poughkeepsie, NY; Barbara Pakosz of Ellenville, NJ; Sura Page of Morris, NY; Dawn Kaminsky of Oneonta, NJ and Jean Pomery of Tuxedo, NY. She is the beloved grandmother to her three grandsons, Brian and Alex Page, and Lynn Pomeroy. In addition to her loving husband Howard, Karen is survived by her parents, John and Muriel Kraft, her brother John Kraft, a sister Debra Kraft, and her brother Robert Kraft. Karen is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM at the Gates of Zion Cemetery Chapel, located at 670 Saddle River Road, Airmont, New York 10952. Interment will follow at the Sharon Gardens Cemetery in Valhalla, New York, immediately following the service.
