John, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on June 21st ,2012. He was 81 years old. John was born in Garfield on July 24th, 1930 to John and Mary (Ordas) Seno. He proudly served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 and continued in the Army reserves until November of 1959. He married Madeline Koenig at the church where he became a lifelong parishioner, Most Holy Name Church in Garfield on May 8th, 1954. John worked for over thirty years as an electrician for the County of Bergen at the Court House Plaza in Hackensack. He enjoyed spending free time fishing, and watching good football games. John was a member of the following organizations the American Legion Post #0145 of Saddle Brook and it’s affiliate 40 and 8; V.F.W. Post and Knights of Columbus Council 12413 both of Garfield. John is survived by his beloved wife Madeline; his loving son John C. Seno of Garfield; his sister-in-law Judy McManus of Garfield; his brother-in-law Vincent Lombardo of Fairlawn. John’s beloved sister Margaret Lombardo predeceased John in 1976. Visiting Sunday from 4 to 8 PM at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service 80-Midland Avenue, Wallington. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 9:30 A.M. at Most Holy Name Church, 99 Marsellus Place, Garfield. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, So. Hackensack. .
