When I began dating John Seno, Jr., John Senior became my New Jersey Father (I'm from Florida and far away from my own family). He welcomed me with open arms and made me feel a part of the Seno clan immediately. He kept me laughing with his dry wit, and engaged in lively conversation on every subject under the sun. I loved listening to him tell stories about his coming up in Garfield, and he always had a sly story to tell to make John Junior blush, something we both enjoyed immensely. He was a smart man with strong opinions but he was always respectful to me. Most importantly, though, was how he let me know that he was fond of me and that he cared about how I was doing. A gentleman to the last, the kindness he showed me is something I will always treasure and I am grateful for the time I spent with him. I will miss him terribly.
